The Builder

Valley Renovators Inc. is a family owned and operated company founded in 1996.  Darrell and Betty Haslacker and Betty’s son JM Snell collaborated to create a company large enough to build a subdivision yet small enough to give customers the service they deserve.  From their family beginnings in Petersburg, West Virginia to their current headquarters in Penn Laird, VA, Valley Renovators has been a part of building community wherever they went.  

Valley Renovators was incorporated in 2003, and in 2005 Valley Renovators Inc. also became registered and licensed in the State of West Virginia.  Company officers are JM Snell II Executive Vice President, Darrell Haslacker, Vice President of Operations and Betty Haslacker, Secretary/Treasurer.  VRI employs 22 hourly workers including an estimator/planner, contract administrator, several project managers, carpenters, carpenter apprentices, painters, laborers and office staff.  Total combined experience is in excess of 100 years in a variety of construction disciplines. 

They have been a part of building over 500 attached and detached new homes, residential and commercial remodeling, light commercial construction, land development and commercial consulting projects in and around the Rockingham, Augusta and Warren counties and the City of Harrisonburg as well as eastern West Virginia.  VRI’s exposure to both remodeling and new construction on commercial and residential projects provide for a versatile team to accomplish their customers goals.  Locally, VRI has been a part of building several large projects including Charleston Townes, Taylor Springs, Townhouses at Spring Oaks, Purple and Gold, Taylor Grove, Taylor Grove II, The Townes at Wellington Park, and the Townes at Blakely Park.

The Developer

Chad Branson has been with Old Dominion Realty for 15 years.  Over his tenure he has founded and grown our Old Dominion Realty Property Management arm to become a leader in the property management market in Harrisonburg-Rockingham.  Chad has also been a part of creating new developments including the Townes at Wellington Park and the Townes at Blakely Park in the City of Harrisonburg.  He has also assisted with the townhouses at Spring Oaks in Rockingham County and Mill View Estates in Bridgewater, VA.  Chad earned his masters degree from the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY, a bachelors degree from Concord University in Athens, WV and attended East Hardy High School in his native Baker, West Virginia.  Chad and wife, Micah have two children Leighton and Corbin and also enjoy all things outdoors the Shenandoah Valley has to offer.
